  2. Sadly, he died by throwing snowballs at soldiers in protest of British taxes.

  3. He was one of the key leaders of the British army, and he surrendered at Yorktown.

  4. Loyalists were people who sided with Britain during the war, partially because they did not see these as a strong enough reason to declare independence.

  5. This man was an important African American spy who gave vital information to George Washington at the Battle of Yorktown.

  6. She was the “female Paul Revere” who rode horseback 40 miles one night to gather local troops to fight back Redcoats who had raided their weapons supply.

  7. In this protest, which took place in Massachusetts, colonists were protesting the British tax on tea.

  8. This British law put a tax on legal documents, newspapers, and playing cards.

  9. Britain passed this set of laws to punish colonists for the Boston Tea Party.

  26. Conditions of the Treaty of Paris included Britain recognizing the U.S. as an independent nation, the U.S. agreeing to pay for damages to Loyalists’ property, and the U.S.’s territory now going all the way west to this river.
