Fulbright Specialist Program The Fulbright Specialist Program sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at academic institutions abroad. Focus: Training and collaboration

Objectives • Objective 1*: The primary goal of this short term Fulbright program is to establish connections between University of Illinois and TISS • Objective 2: Facilitating sustainable development of LIS profession through education and dissemination of knowledge and skills via joint research and educational activities in the areas of library and information science • Objective 3: Development and implementation of joint research projects, innovative activities within the frames of library and information science academic programmes
Plans • Curriculum and faculty development • Development and assessment of existing educational materials for both Masters and Doctoral students, • Hosting lectures series • Participation and sharing of expertise in the conference/seminars held at the host country, and • Collaborative engagement with a host institution in order to evaluate, enrich and enliven existing curricula, and help the creation of new programming in ways that further the goals of the Fulbright specialist program.
