    8. Activity: Exploring Business Looking at the business examples given, for each one discuss: What sort of business is it? What do we know about what it is doing? Use of the STEEP model as a framework for analysis

    10. Streetwise Fashion Case study Is the relationship between the two businesses likely to be successful? What are the differences between the two businesses? What might be the benefits and the costs for each of the businesses? Compile a SWOT framework for each of the two businesses to help them organise their thoughts

Key points about case studies Read the case through quickly once to get a feel for the situation Understand what it is you are required to do – check the questions and any instructions Re-read the case, make notes, ask yourself, ‘what seems to be going on here that may be relevant? Start organising your thoughts/notes using concepts from the course to help you expand upon and support your diagnosis

    12. Practical advice about TMA01 Check the deadline, word limit and break down of the question Read the student guidance notes Re-read study session 3 in book one on business structures. You are not expected to talk about every type of structure – use your knowledge to analyse the case Plan ahead Don’t over-estimate what is required Think about referencing Ask for advice if stuck
