Recertification $200-Answer • What are Annual Training Requirements for Parent Educator (and Dual) Recertification?
Recertification $400-Answer Who must Recertify? PE & Supervisors attending BTL training for the CALENDAR year Jan 1 to Dec 31 must recertify by July 15 of the following year. If a PE is inactive for more than 2 years and is then hired by a program, the PE must attend BTL training again but can do so at ½ price (training fee only)
Recertification $600-Answer What are appropriate training topics for recertification? Do not count core training = Born to Learn Prenatal to 3 or 3 to 5 – this training is required for certification. (Follow up training does count as 6 hours.) Do not count training when you are the trainer. Best practice is to assess skills and knowledge of staff and develop a professional development plan. Training should be appropriate to the certification held. Conference sessions need to individually identified.
