  2. Samuel de Champlain He was born in Brouage France 1570 in small seaport on Atlantic coast in France and died Quebec city 25 December 1635.

  4. Acadia In 1604 Samuel de Champlain made first settlement (French colony) in Port-Royal in Acadia. Champlain settled Annapolis Royal

  5. Trade In 1608he met the Kichesiprini and the Innu First nation peoples. In 1608 de Monts sent him to made Québec. There was a fur trade for the First nation people Champlain. 1609 in spring the Montagnais, Algonquin and the Huron's fighted the Iroquois Indians. Champlain helped them fight.
