  1. PLOT • Hampton Green is a senior football star • Plays for the Kennisaw Knights • Lives in Kennisaw Oklahoma • Going for their 5th undefeated season. • Having trouble deciding which girl he should choose. • Must decide whether or not to follow his best friend Blaine.

  2. Football was what mostly made Hampton’s life. • School work mattered little to him. • Easily succumbed to peer pressure. • Always wears his leather jacket • Most towns people see him as god like. • Has a slight southern accent with a limited vocabulary.

  3. Coming of Age • The Kennisaw Knights lose their five season win streak. • Becomes better friends with the girl outside his clique. • Choose to betray his friend Blaine to avoid tragedy. • Begins to learn he doesn’t fit his clique.

  4. Came of Age • Learns to think more independently. • Finds real friends • Matures to see even his closet friend aren’t always right. - Begins to think about thinks other than football - Begins to act more adult like and less like a party animal

  5. Personal Opinion • - A good overall novel • Teaches some interesting life lessons. • Not exactly what I was expecting to happen.
