Make observations about both types of symmetry BIG IDEAS You will be able to: • identify if a polygon has reflection and rotational symmetry • Find the line of symmetry or degree of rotation

  2. Mini Lesson • There are two types of symmetry: • Reflection Symmetry – has a line of reflection that splits the polygon into a mirror image • Rotational Symmetry – has a degree of rotation that allows the polygon to be turned to look exactly as it does originally Example
