Parent Information Greetings Parents! Thank you so much for sending back rested and joyful students! It sounds like everyone had a wonderful time with family, and my students are happy to be back at school. Thanks for continuing to support them as they progress in first grade! Our Safari Park field trip is coming up quickly! Please let me know if you are interesting in volunteering to chaperone a group of students to the park. Reading: Students will continue to practice identifying the narrator in the books they read. Math: Students will continue to explore the concept of fact families and patterns in addition and subtraction. Writing: Students will write an opinion piece about the books we read. Students will also continue to practice writing informational paragraphs. This week, they will write about Martin Luther King, Jr. Social Studies: Students will continue to study landforms on the seven continents.
