  16. one of the best assets you can ask for in a dog is that they will listen to you, no matter what mood you are in, happy, sad, or angry. if you rub his or her belly, your dog will stay beside your for hours, listening intently to every word you say. when I was in eighth grade, a friend of mine had a party and invited everyone except for me. Devastated, I turned to my dog and talked out my problem. the next quality that a dog can offer is exercise. It is shown that exercise releases endorphins, and endorphins fight pain and stress. enjoying exercise makes it easier to do it regularly and will cause you to live a healthier lifestyle. my dog and I play chase regularly, and we swim together in the summer. a dog is loyal, which brings me to my next point. A good dog will protect from danger. a few years back, I was jogging with my dog, and another dog started heading towards us, growling. My dog headed for him to protect me and to allow me to get away.
