Please feel free to adapt to your own school requirements. To add impact to your assembly, why not borrow or hire a superhero costume and a willing volunteer (helpful parent?) and source some small prizes (e.g. healthy treats)When a pupil gives a correct answer or an inspired suggestion that is deemed ‘SUPER’, your super hero can run out from behind doors to hand out the treats or shake their hand. See photos below:-

  3. Quiz • Why is it important to come to school? • To learn • To spend time with your friends

  4. 2. What can you do to make sure you are not late for school in the morning? • prepare for school the night before • Go to sleep at a sensible time • Use an alarm clock! • Have breakfast before you leave home so you do not get side-tracked at the shops

  5. 3. How can you make sure you get a good night’s sleep? • Do not watch the TV in your room • Sleep with a night-light on if you need some light • Have a proper bed time routine e.g. bath and drink

  6. 4. What should you do if you are worried about something or someone at school? • Speak to someone about it

  7. 5. What should you do if you cannot come to school for any reason? • Ask your adult to phone school to tell us the reason why

  8. When is it OK to stay off school? • The following questions will have yes or no answers. • Is it OK to take a day off school to get a new school uniform? • Is it OK to miss school in the morning because you have a dental appointment this afternoon? • Should you come to school if you have been sick the night before? • Is it OK to stay off school if you have chicken pox? • Is it OK to stay off school if you havent done your homework? • Is it OK to stay off school if your brother or sister is ill?
