Existing Water Quality should be Protected for the Decreed Uses • Eagle River Basin Segments 3 and 14 classified for Water Supply and Agriculture • Support the WQCD’s proposal to apply Molybdenum standard for Agriculture to Segments 3 and 14 • Existing water quality meets all applicable and proposed standards • Molybdenum data from 1970s during historical operations at Climax exceeded the proposed standards (360 ug/L East Fork near Camp Hale) • Consistent with decreed uses for Eagle Park Reservoir, the East Fork of the Eagle River, and downstream uses Exhibit B

  4. Existing Water Quality should be Protected for the Decreed Uses • WQCD/Climax proposal for Blue River Segment 13 is inconsistent with decreed water supply sources for Eagle Park Reservoir • Existing source: Chalk Mountain Interceptor • Future sources: Searle Gulch, Kokomo Creek, Humbug Creek, Mayflower Creek • Molybdenum data from 1970s during historical operations at Climax exceeded the proposed standards • Kokomo Creek in early 1970s – 86,000 ug/L total molybdenum Exhibit B
