  1. RQ7000M High Speed Automatic machine for Fishing and Marine industry 24-Nov,2010

  2. 1-1. Overview Advantage 1. High Speed 1.2sec/strap (50straps/min) 2. Multi-function Strap self-loading, Automatic strap tail ejection, Strap end detection, Seal time prolongation, etc. 3. Self-correcting technology Strap re-feed, Loop Ejection Fault : 1. Jump-out 2. (Just a slight possibility) Loose Tensioning

  3. 1-2. Overview Comparison with AQ-7M

  4. 2-1. Basic Mechanism Overview RQ7000M AQ-7M Pool Roller Pool Roller Reverse Roller Tension Arm Feed/Reverse Roller t Feed Roller Tension Roller

  5. 2-2-1. Basic Mechanism Reversing Reversing SOL 1 : ON SOL 1 : OFF When SOL1 is on, the coil will be magnetized and go up. And the touch roller will go down.

  6. Off Off Off Off Off On On On On On On Off Off Off Off On On On On On 2-2-2. Basic Mechanism Reversing(2) LS5: Counts rotation of Reverse Touch Roller (Reversing Pulse) Revering Start: Reverse Touch Roller rotates (LS5 turns on/off) quickly. Revering completed: Reverse Touch Roller is about to stop. And the interval gets longer (30ms as normal). 30msec

  7. On On On On On 2-2-3. Basic Mechanism Reversing(3) Case Study : Sekkingston in Bergen Trouble : Reversing stops before going around the box (tensioning was too loose) because of the friction of styrene foam. Solution : VR1 This interval can be longer by VR1. Off Off Off Off

  8. 2-3. Basic Mechanism Tensioning Tensioning SOL 2 : OFF SOL 2 : ON When SOL2 is on, the coil will be magnetized and go up. And the touch roller will go up to contact the Tension Roller.

  9. 2-4. Basic Mechanism Feeding (forwarding) Feeding SOL 3 : ON SOL 3 : OFF When Power switch is on, SOL3 is on. The coil is already magnetized and the touch roller is released. When SOL3 is off, the touch roller will contact the Feed Roller.

  10. 2-4. Basic Mechanism (pool mechanism) LS3 ON: Pool Motor will move. LS3 OFF: Pool Motor will stop. Balance Bar Balance Bar

  11. 3-2. Basic Mechanism Components 1) 3 Motors 2) 5 Switches (3 proximity, 2 Micro) 3) Clutch & Brake 4) 2 Belts 5) 3 Solenoids 6) 4 sets of Rollers 7) Timers

  12. Slide Table Slide table is strapped even without any package. 4-1-1. Timers and Volumes T1 (1) When a strapping cycle is accidentally initiated without any package on the table, tensioning on slide table can be cancelled by T1 setting. (“Jump Out” or “Loop Ejection”). T1 timer sets the reversing time (pulse counts) until when tensioning will be cancelled. Ex. T1=0 (30counts) T1=10 (72counts) No tensioning When strap is reversed too much, tensioning will be cancelled. When the tensioning is cancelled, the strap will make a loop around the slide table and will be ejected.

  13. 4-1-2. Timers and Volumes T1(2) (1) LS5(longer pulse) > T1 setting Longer pulse Off Off Off Off No tensioning. T1 On On On On On (2) LS5(longer pulse) < T1 setting Longer pulse Off Off Off Off Tensioning. On On On On On T1 Tensioning.

  14. Large Arch : T2 needs to be set higher. Small Arch : T2 needs to be set lower. ① ② ④ LS1 detects the large hole. LS2 doesn’t. T2 determines how long the timing plate stays on this position. ③ 4-2. Timers and Volumes T2 (Forward timer) Controls the strap forwarding time Too short > Strap won’t reach the Sealing Point. Too long > Strap will hit the stopper so hard that the edge of the strap will be bent. Should be adjusted at the point at which the strap barely reach the stopper at the sealing head (under the slide table).

  15. 4-3. Timers and Volumes Heater 5.7V Mechanism Heater volume controls the length of pulse (frequency of 5.7V pulse) supplied to Heater. 5.7V 0 0 Higher Temperature Lower Temperature

  16. 4-4. Timers and Volumes VR1 Off Off Off Off On On On On On VR1 controls the length of pulse with which the strap reversing is finished. <VR1:0> 30ms <VR1:20> 210ms Off Off Off Off (Cycle time will be longer) On On On On On Reversing will not stop even if there is much friction on a product.

  17. 4-5. Timers and Volumes VR3 Continuous High-speed Operation Normal Operation Heater Temperature Temperature returns after a cycle Heater Temperature Temperature drops gradually Strapping Strapping Strapping Strapping Strapping Just after the sealing process, Heater temperature drops slightly because the heat gets lost by melting the strap. And, In a normal (not so fast) operation: Heater temperature return to the original before the next cycle. In a continuous High-speed operation or under cold environment : Heater doesn’t have enough time to return to the original temperature before VR3 prevents this drop of temperature by a little longer pulse supply to the Heater from 0 to 1 second. 5.7V Heater Active time after sealing is prolonged . Caution: Heater may be too hot by increasing VR3.

  18. 4-6-1. Timers and Volumes VR4 (1) Problem Off Off Off Off Without VR4, reversing is finished before strapping the package. On On On On On When there is some problem (such as scratch) inside the Arch, reversing might be finished before going around the package. Reversing is finished. Problem

  19. 4-6-2. Timers and Volumes VR4 (2) Problem Problem By setting VR4, strap reversing continues even after a longer pulse comes. Longer pulse Longer pulse Off Off Off Off On On On On On VR4 Problem Reversing stops and Tensioning starts

  20. 4-6-3. Timers and Volumes VR4 (3) Problem Problem By setting VR4, strap reversing continues even after a longer pulse comes. Longer pulse Longer pulse Off Off Off Off On On On On On VR4 Problem Reversing stops and Tensioning starts

  21. 4-6-4. Timers and Volumes VR4 and VR5 Longer pulse Longer pulse Off Off Off Off On On On On On VR4 Problem Reversing stops and Tensioning starts This length of the pulse is adjusted by VR5 (Maximum 3sec). And, VR4 and VR5 can be used when LS5 is broken. In this case, VR4 should be more than 1. (Value does not matter because pulse can not be counted.)

  22. 4-7. Volumes and Timers Summary VR2 Heater VR3 VR4 VR5 T1 T2 T3 (Tensioning) VR1 Installation- Set To be used for emergency To be set according to Boxes, Bundles, etc. To be set according to Strap, temperature, Strapping Speed, etc..
