  4. The K-12 education system has been one of the great success stories of the 20th century.

  5. Personalized Learning Personalized learning would allow learning experiences customized for each student’s goals and abilities, presenting a real opportunity to improve outcomes.

  6. Recommendations Students Teachers Schools Technology Data Quality and accountability

  7. Students Michigan must put in place strategies and tactics to permit each student to learn at his or her own pace.

  8. Teachers Michiganmustcreate a statewide system of support for teachers as they transition their instructional practice to methods that allow for the full implementation of personalized learning.

  9. Schools Schools must have support from the state as they create spaces that support personalized learning including technology integration and spaces for more individual and small group work.

  10. Technology Michigan must place technology at the forefront of learning, information, and accountability. Michigan needs an independent, neutral, and trusted voice in the educational sector to help providers and districts deploy technology that works.

  11. Data The state must create and support a data infrastructure that teachers, parents, students, and schools can use to inform individualized instruction.

  12. Quality and Accountability The governor should appoint an independent authority to evaluate the quality of content providers.

  13.
