discussion – • With your learning partner, discuss the different parent functions and take notes on your discussion in your Math Journal. • 1. Which functions go through the origin? • 2. Which functions have an absolute maximum or minimum value? • 3. Which functions do not curve? • 4. What are the trigonometric functions and what is different about their x-axis? • 5. Which functions appear to have an asymptote? • 6. What is your favorite function based on appearance? • 7. Which function do you think will be easiest to work with? • TURN IN A COPY OF YOUR FINAL ANSWERS (one per pair with both names).
Homework • Check your parent function poster that was homework yesterday. • Make sure that you have labeled the x-axis and y-axis correctly. • Make sure you have written the name of your parent function and its equation. • Make sure to labeled your paper with your name, date, and block. • Be neat!
