  10. Lemshaga School Lemshaga is a public school 30 kilometres outside of Stockholm. Its was founded 1995. 2005the school had 340 pupils between ages 3-16. The school is situated on the premise ofLemshaga Manor estate, which dates back to 1632. Part of the curriculum is caring for theanimals on the farm. The motto for the Lemshaga model is: A school that values chickens and computers. Despite its somewhat whimsical phrasing, the motto gets to the very heart of the experiencesat Lemshaga. The unique aspect of the aim in the school is the attempt to mix the old with thenew, the future with tradition. At Lemshaga, the children work in a learning environment, which emphasises Sweden’scultural inheritance andthe link with nature, while simultaneously creating an environmentthat stimulates joy in gaining tangible experience in the new technology the children will beexpected to use in the next century’s global society. http://www.lemshaga.se/helena/
