People in our organization data approximately ¾ year old Number of Czech sea scouts – 4821 (more then 10% from the overall number of Scouts in Czech) - from that: 2881 adults 1940 children ( cubs, brownies – 5-11 years, scouts – 12-15 years, rovers, rangers – 16-18 years, adults – more then 18 years old). - 161 units.

  4. Main activities of sea scouts in Czech • Activity and training of children: • Education in units or groups – mainly once a week meetings for children in • clubrooms or outside. A new book guides are prepared now. • One or more days trips outside to the nature (on boats, on foot, on ski,…..)

  5. Main activities of sea scouts in Czech • Education and training of children: • Every unit has a summer camp – mainly 14 or 21 days in the nature. After the end • of the stay is the camp completely takes in the parts or it can be travelling camp.

  6. Main activities of sea scouts in Czech Running on river by canoes or kayaks – from the very easy to very difficult rivers in Czech or abroad.

  7. Main activities of sea scouts in Czech Sailing on the lakes and dam reservoirs. Every year we organize trips on sailing yachts on Adriatic sea.

  8. Main activities of sea scouts in Czech The best known meeting „Czech water scouts national jamboree“ is NAVIGAMUS - every 3 years.

  9. Main activities of sea scouts in Czech • Education and training of young people: • Naval Academy of Czech water scouts – ten days course in summer holiday

  10. Main activities of sea scouts in Czech Interesting race is every September – „OVER THREE WEIRS“ – its about 4 km long race of punts in historical centre of Prague on river Vltava.

  11. Education of adults Meeting of captains (heads of units, groups and headquarters) 2x per year. The strategy for the future is solved, races and other meetings (NAVIGAMUS) are prepared. Czech sea scouts obtain a license to train new instructors for trips with children on wild water. This license is accredited by Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and sports. This course includes - first aid (theory and practices) - boating technique on wild water to WWII - basics of sailing - history of water scouts in Czech - organization of river trips - meteorology School of woodcraft for sea scouts – includes three weekend and two week – a part of this „school“ is „instructor school – woodcraft, practise on the water – etc.

  12. Other activities of sea scouts in Czech Meeting of captains (heads of units, groups and headquarters) 2x per year. SKARE – scouts regatta – 1x per year – speed race of sailed punts. SKAPA – scouts paddling – 1x per year – speed race of „unsailed“ punts. Meander of Mimon – 1x per year – race on Ploucnice river. Unlocking (in spring) and locking (in autumn) of rivers. And many others…..
