  2. BRAINSTORMING • Use inking in word to collect ideas from students. • Use a thought-provoking question, an image, or simply a word. • Student responses can be saved with the PowerPoint or discarded when the file is closed.

  5. WHITE SCREEN • You can do black screen too! • Select from the menu at the bottom left of the screen. • Information is not saved with the PowerPoint • Good for a quick explanation or drawing. i.e. What are the parts of a fish?

  6. FILL IN THE BLANK • Requires you to create the slide prior to the lesson. • Useful for review of key terms, drills, or “Cloze” procedure.

  8. DISCUSSION STARTERS • Place an image, graph, chart, quote, etc. on the slide. • Leave room on the slide for clarifications, notes, and insightful comments
