Gonorrhea Interventions • Most Disease Prevention work in NM is integrated: STD/HIV/Hepatitis • Focus on strengthening fundamentals of STD program and program improvement • Training at all levels • Operational systems to improve DIS ans front line supervisory functioning • Systems such as replacing STD-MIS and electronic lab reporting

  8. Opportunities • Working on increasing testing at Juvenile Detention settings • Internet outreach targeting MSM and Gay Men’s Health clinics monthly in Albuquerque

  9. Challenges • Budget, Hiring freeze on state funded positions • Recruiting qualified candidates on low salaries
