  2. Food and shopping • Traditional Greek cooking uses herbs such as oregano , thyme, rosemary and spearmint. • Breakfast is only a light meal and lunch is their main meal. • Greeks can spend days preparing a meal for family or social occasions.

  3. Famous people • Alexander the great [King in Greece 336.B.C.] • Zeus, the king of Greek Gods. • Aristotle Onassis, married John F Kennedy’s wife.

  4. Sports and games • Tons of Greeks like to play soccer. • Greece won the European soccer championship in 2004. • Some Greeks like to play basketball.

  5. Traveling • Donkeys are used to travel. • InGreece they also use cars. • People go to the islands by getting on a ferry or a hydrofoil.

Did you know…. • While World War ll was going on, Greece got attacked by Italy. • In 1941, Germany attacked Greece and took the country. • In 776, the first Olympic games were held in Olympia. • In 200,7 gigantic Greek fires caused tons of deaths. • In 1833, Prince Otto was the first German king of Greece.
