Mission Statement OSU Chapter Mission Statement: To be the premier Industrial Engineering student organization committed to developing professional, academic, and social networks that openly educates and promotes the Industrial Engineering profession to all students.

Operation’s Goal: Get Everyone a Job • Outside Speakers and Plant Tours • Get to be selective • Prefer hiring managers and engineers who will accept resumes • Not generic H.R. info sessions. • Always free Pizza and Soda, sponsored by companies. • Do not have to be a member to attend. *OSU alumni in the company are encouraged to attend as well.

Tips – Its all about balance! • Know Your Stakeholders • Respond immediately – no matter what • Know Your Strengths • Do an officer transition meeting • Know What Motivates College Students • Get them a job, they will pay membership dues • If you have something good, give it away for free • Show your cards – don’t hide them, openly promote intentions • They like free food • Long emails will never work – tiered communication does • Offer something unique • Get officer polos – look good, be confident In 1948, IIE Chapter #1 was founded in Columbus, OH. 63 Years Later: The Excellence Continues GO BUCKS!
