  2. Objective • Provide students with the necessary information to perform proper exercises and measure their results. • Educate students on muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and agility.

  3. Hoist Fitness Station The Hoist Fitness station is an absolute necessity for a physical education class. Cost: $1000

  4. Specifications and features • The Hoist Fitness Station offers 6 different forms of equipment. • As many as 30 exercises can be performed. • This piece of equipment would be perfect for a weight lifting unit and can be easily utilized with its size being a mere 6’x7’.

  5. Body Fat/BMI Calculator A BMI calculator will be ideal to inform their students of their current body mass index. Cost: $150

  6. BMI • An important health related fitness component is BMI. • Allow the students to become aware of their Body mass index. • Students will take their reading in a one on one setting with the teacher to keep their numbers private.

  7. Stop watch Stop watches are needed to record times of activities such as runs, muscular endurance tests, And record maximum push ups and sit ups in a given amount of time. Cost: $50

  8. Software-P90x

  9. P90x • A great workout routine to incorporate into curriculum. Cost: $140. • A mixture of muscular strength, endurance, stretching, and cardio. • Over the course of 90 days. • Can be used as a warm up activity. • Entertaining and will keep the attention of the class.

  10. Speed Ladder

  11. Speed Ladder • A great way to test, improve, and practice agility. • Can be used as a relay activity or just individual practice. • Between 2-3 speed ladders should be made available to ensure all students can participate efficiently.

  12. What’s the connection? • Fitness stations • Station 1- Hoist center. (muscular strength) • Station 2- BMI calculator. (body composition) • Station 3- Flexed arm hang. Use stopwatch for timing. (muscular endurance) • Station 4- P 90x workout. (Cardio) • Station 5- Speed ladder. (Agility+Speed)
