Introduction Chinmaya International Foundation is • One of the last project undertaken by PujyaGurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji during his lifetime • housed at AdiSankaraNilayam, the birth home of Sri AdiSankara • set in Kerala’s lush green and sylan beauty midst sacred shrines and water ponds • located in an ambience that is at once academic and spiritual

Academic Status • One of the four premier Sanskrit Research Institutions of India that has been accorded the recognition of Shodha Sansthan or Centre for Excellence in Sanskrit Research by the Govt. of India • Affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University as a Research Centre. Thus students can do their PhD in Sanskrit and allied subjects. • Collaborative projects with IGNOU, IIIT – Hyderabad, University of Hyderabad. • Collaboration with AYUSH, Govt of India project.

Applied Research Anusaaraka Developing a software for Natural Language Processing (NLP) in collaboration with University of Hyderabad and International Institute of Information Technology based on Paniniyan Principles of Sanskrit Grammar
Preservation of Manuscripts CIF protects traditional Palm leaves and other manuscripts by digitalizing and deciphering them. There are about 3000 such manuscripts on various branches of Traditional Knowledge.

Home Study Courses The following Home Study Courses are offered at CIF • Foundation Vedanta Course • Advanced Vedanta Course • Easy Sanskrit Study Course • Easy Sanskrit Self Study Kit • Postal Advanced Sanskrit Course • Certificate Programme in Sanskrit (IGNOU) More such courses such as on Bhagawad-Gita, Upanishads and Vedic Mathematics are in the offing… At any point of time there are about 2000 students on CIF rolls who are doing these courses. The Fourth Batch of CPS is now open for registration.

Workshops and Seminars Regular workshops and seminars for the textual study of ancient philosophical Sanskrit treatises on Nyaya, Mimamsa, Yoga, Vedanta, Manuscriptology and various disciplines of Indian Knowledge Tradition with the guidance of traditional Scholars for those doing Doctorate or Masters in Philosophy.
Camps and Retreats • Acharyas from various Chinmaya Mission centres, India and abroad, regularly conduct camps on Vedantic texts such as Gita and the Upanishads • Provides facility for academic programmes for Universities and other academic bodies
