  2. The BC Times! • DEFINITION -BC – Before Christ! • So, in 2400 BC, There was this guy named Abacus, and he like, created the very first calculator. It was called The Chinese Abacus. It was created out of wood and beads. The Abacus does not actually do the computing, but instead, it like, helps people keep track of the numbers that they are trying to compute, while they do the computing themselves. Sounds like a lot of work…

  3. THE BC TIMES (CONTINUED) • In 776 BC, these people started using homing pigeons, or birds known to find their way home, even if their home is like, really far. So they started using these birds to send messages, just like, when we text, but this time it was a bird with a letter, like you see in the movies, when the bird drops off a letter to some peasant boy that is selected to do something special. Anyways they used these to communicate. (:

  4. After Jesus Was Born. (: • In 1041, the movable printing press was invented by Bi Sheng. Instead of just using that dumb old printing press that sat still, they created a printing press that moved. In other words, it like, was the system of printing and typography that uses movable components to reproduce the elements of a document. • What is a printing press? • A printing press is a machine that presses inked set type or etched plates onto paper or textiles that the printing press eats.

  5. Post Office! • In 1639, the first post office, or P.O, or tavern, was created. Richard Fairbank was operator of this project. It was built up in Boston.
