  1. Instructors Getting Started with MindTap in D2L Step-by-Step Guidelines for Copying the MBA 530 MindTap Master Course with eBook Saint Leo University

  2. Integrated MindTap/D2L: Key Features • Single point of access for both instructors and students. Fewer registration steps make it easier for students.  • “Deep-links” open MindTap resources directly.

  3. Copying the MindTap Master Course and Assignments: Overview • A new MindTap course needs to be created and linked each term to each D2L “offering” you are using for your classes. • Using the MindTap Master Course Key will allow you to copy the links already set up in MindTap for this course.

  4. Launch MindTap 1. Go to the D2L section where you will be linking MindTap. 2. From the Content area, find the Important Instructor Materials section. 3. Click on Link MindTap Now!

  5. Authorize to Integrate Cengage Content 1. Click the Click Here to Authorize Cengage Learning link. NOTE: This is a required step that provides Cengage with the ability to post grades to your course.

  6. Confirm Cengage Learning 1. From the confirmation screen, click Continue to proceed.

  7. Log In 1. Log in using your Cengage Learning Faculty Account user name and password. 2. If you are a new instructor, your user name is your official Saint Leo e-mail address. 3. If you are a new instructor, your default password is Welcome1 4. Do not choose to create a new account: You already have one.

  8. Select Content Source From the list, select ONLY the product you are using for you course. Tip: Begin typing the textbook authors name or title in the Search field to see only your product. The name of the product in use for this course is: MindTap for Nelson Organizational Behavior 8e

  9. Create Course in Cengage/MindTap 1. To create a copy of the MindTap Master course, select Copy a colleague's existing Cengage/MindTap course (including its assignments). 2. Enter the Course Key of the master course that you are copying. 3. Click Verify Course Name: MBA530_Master_Spring2017 Course Key: 67402228563115889534009160-29541

  10. Enter the Course Details 1. Name your MindTap course. Use the following naming convention: LastName-Course#-Term-Offering# Example:Ries-MBA530-2017SP1-MBOL1

  11. Enter the Course Details 2. Enter course start and end dates. Use actual academic calendar year semester start and end dates 3. Select the Eastern Time Zone 3. Click Continue. 4. MindTap will automatically launch.

  12. Your MindTap course is now linked​ 1. After accepting the MindTap license agreement, you will be brought to the opening screen.​ 2. Click Enter to open the course. 

  13. Instructors Getting Started with MindTap in D2L Important Tip • Do not change or edit any existing MindTap links in any way. Breaking these links may disrupt access for your students.
