UID Emerging Issues and Actions • Engine manufactures take a leading role • Proposing a solution to merge ISO and ATA data requirements • Proposing use of single process initiative • AIA requests DCAA/DP/DCMA provide cost guidance on UID • Industry associations are working with OSD to • Further refine implementation guidance • Develop preliminary UID policy for Government Furnished Property with DCMA • Services and Defense Agencies • Establishing joint IPTs (e.g. Army boats and NAVSEA; Aviation) • Working to identify budget requirements • Define requirements for the legacy registry • Requesting guidance regarding legacy assets • OSD Unique ID folks are developing a joint set of actions (e.g. Identity Management, Force Structure Identifier, Real Property Identification, RFID)
