  7. Wastewater Design Parameters • Assumed Loading of 8 gal/person/day • Design Flow to Septic Tank of 37,125 gal/day • Design Flow to Absorption System of 36,000 gal/day • Assumed 4 Septic Tank/Absorption Systems

  8. Septic Tank Design • Four Septic Tanks • Depth X Width X Length = 8 X 8 X 20 ft • Tank Volume of 12,800 gal

  9. Absorption System Design • Four Absorption Systems • Use Infiltrator Quick 4HC Chambers • AK DEC Does Not Allow an Increase In Loading Using an Infiltrator • Infiltrator Footprint Identical to Conventional Rock Bed Absorption System • Infiltrator Does Provide Increased Storage Capacity for Peak Events

  10. Absorption System Continued • Assume Infiltrators Installed in a Bed Configuration • Assume Hydraulic Loading of 0.6 gal/ft^2 • Bed Width X Length = 96 X 160 ft • Bed Footprint for Conventional System Is the Same • System Should Allow for Wastewater from Transportation Facility During Off-Peak Times
