2. Hypothesis • I think that surf is the best detergent because my mother uses it. • Surf seems to remove most stains.

3. Experiment • Items used: Small Pieces of Cloth Ink Remote Control Experiment (RCX) Light Sensor Light Source Detergents:Cheer, Surf, Gain, Tide LEGO bricks Computer Infrared Tower

4. Procedures • Took a piece of cloth without ink to get reading from light sensor. • Put ink on piece of cloth. • Made a program in ROBOLAB. • Connect light sensor to RCX. • Put light sensor in LEGO box.

5. Put ink cloth in LEGO Box • Tested each cloth piece three times through light sensor. • Washed each ink cloth piece three times. • Put washed cloth piece in LEGO box for reading.

8. What is the Difference in Detergent Ingredients? • Cheer has biodegradable surfactants, enzymes and color safe oxygen bleach • Surf contain enzymes • Tide Biodegradable surfactant and enzymes, also hydrogen peroxide • Gain has biodegradable anionic surfactants and enzymes

9. CONCLUSION • Cheer cleaned the ink spots the best visually and from the light sensor reading. • I predicted that Surf was the best detergent. • Surf came in second place.
