  2. Where found The rock hopper penguin is found on most of the islands in the Antarctica region.

  3. Habitat The penguin lives on most of the rocky islands they live on most of the high grasses called tussocks where they make burrows and nests.

  4. Characteristics • They have brightly colored feathers on their heads that look like long eyebrows they are small penguins.

  5. Prey • They eat squid krill and other small fish.

  6. Predators • The rock hopper penguin is eaten by blue sharks , leopard seals , fur seals and their eggs are eaten by many different birds.

  7. Interesting information • The rock hopper penguin gets its name because it hops up and down steep slopes to get to its nest rock hopper penguins will attack humans who get to close.
