  2. Week 9 October 22, 2013 I can… Compare elements of plot across literature. Draw conclusions about author’s purpose using text evidence. Identify explicit text support to prove character traits. Identify Writing Tools 1-4 Generate original works using writing tools. Collaborate with peers to generate a graphic organizer comparing stories. Apply ‘Funnel It” strategy when writing introductions. Use text evidence to identify a stories point of view. Use a graphic organizer compare literary devices across literature. Generate multiple cohesive paragraphs using PowerWriting. Write with focused ideas presented with logic and relevant support/elaboration. Present an argument supporting “most intelligent” character using PowerWriting as guide for structure Use context clues to determine word selection and application.

Not only will you master the process of the this strategy you will learn the words for Unit 2.
