  2. Summary • James Bond gets betrayed and captured in North Korea. • Gets traded by the Koreans 14 mo. later for Zao (a known diamond smuggler and terrorist). • Suspected of leaking information while in prison Bond is let go by MI6 but continues on his own to hunt for Zao. • JamesBond: “I’m looking for a North Korean.” • Cuban source: “…a tourist?” • James Bond: “No, a terrorist.” • After discovering important info about Zao and some conflict diamonds, Bond is reinstated and sent on a mission to Iceland.

  3. 007’s Gadgets • Glass shattering sonic ring • Standard laser watch • Astin Martin “Vanish” • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uZRYO8BcL4

  4. Invisibility Cloak in Real Life? • The Japanese have invented an “invisibility cloak” using the same optical camouflage idea • Cameras record image behind cloak and the image gets projected onto it, creating a see-through effect. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PD83dqSfC0Y

  5. Problems: Real life vs. 007 • Can only work when viewed from one specific angle, whereas on the car there would be many angles one could look at • Requires large camera equipment • Not actually entirely see-through
