Ratings(Cont.) • I Give this Book 4 out of 4 for 3 reasons. First I like how the book went into complete detail of Larry Bird’s Life from when he was born up until he became a coach. My second reason is that this book had my attention the whole time and it was enjoying to read. Third Larry bird is one of my favorite basketball players ever.
Larry Bird Summary • Larry Bird was born on December 7,1956 in Bedford,Indiana. Larry’s Parents was Georgia and Joey Bird. Larry Had 5 Siblings in his family. Also Larry’s Family was poor so he had to work a couple of jobs while he was a kid. He learned the game of Basketball from his brothers. Larry ended up playing for Springs Valley High School where he ended up being one of the best basketball players playing for that school. Larry went to Indiana State University and leading them to the national championship game in 1979. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1978 he was the sixth pick of the draft. Larry ended up having a successful career with the Boston Celtics by Winning 3 NBA Championships with the Celtics. Larry ended up retiring in 1992. His Career Averages was 24.3 ppg,10.0 rpg, and 6.3 Apg. Larry ended up Coaching the Indiana Pacers from 1997-2000 and leading them to the NBA Finals 2000 against the los Angeles Lakers. They ended up losing the series but Larry bird has had a successful career in the NBA.
