It also might include additional layers, like a root barrier, drainage, or irrigation systems. This is a design for a green roof. Most green roofs have a similar design.

Green roofs improve the energy performance of a building Green roofs are flexible and easy to install They can be easily adjusted and rearranged after installation to meet a change in stylistic preferences or planting schemes Green roofs reduce water runoff
