  2. Mission: The Carolina Entrepreneurial Initiative is redefining entrepreneurship and making it a life-changing experience for students, faculty and staff at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

  3. Program Audience: UNC Faculty, Staff, Students and Alumni Number of Faculty: 50 Number of Courses Offered: The Minor in Entrepreneurship includes approximately 20 courses, including electives

  4. What is your most exciting activity? The development of a comprehensive curriculum that includes commercial, social and artistic entrepreneurship and the involvement of academics and practicing entrepreneurs in its planning and execution.

  5. What is the biggest challenge you face? Creating a program that is consistent with the tenants of a liberal education while providing the competencies required for effective entrepreneurship.

  6. What new initiatives are you planning? • The CEI launched in 2004 with nine new initiatives: • Challenge Competition • Faculty Fellowships • Faculty Seminars • Freshmen Seminars • Innovations Fund • Launch Program • Research Seminars • Speaker Series • Undergraduate Research
