  5. Where is the conversation now? • Who is involved? • * Church-Catholic, Islamic, and Judaism • * Political Parties- Democratic and Republican • * Parents • * Children • * College Students • Perspectives: • The perspective that a person may have on this subject varies from person to person. Depending on under what circumstances they were raised, as well as the personal morals and values they may hold.

  6. Personal Contribution • Personal Perspective: • * Morals and Values are largely “put in us” through our religion • * Since it is our source culture we tend to “go along” with what it said through them. • * We want to “fit in” therefore tend to go along with people what people of out personal status say. • Interest: • * Different Perspectives • *Learn more about theses type of procedures. • Opinion: • * There is nothing wrong with people trying to form families no matter what circumstances. Any of these procedures are legitimate and should be put to use if they are out there. - Marital Status • -Economic Status

  8. Narrative Example • Personal Interviews with my peers • - Peer G • - Peer O • - Peer R • - Peer A • - Peer B • * When interviewing some of my peers, I choose to interview some of my peers around other peers. This caused a little argument among them due to their opinion of the matter being so different.

  9. Socio-Historical Perspective • Socially this is not considered the norm • Throughout time is it becoming more socially acceptable • More people are able to use to, i.e. single parents, homosexuals, etc. • We are growing as a society to view this as more acceptable.

  10. University Goal • Ethics and Social Responsibility • “Students will expand their understanding of the impact and value of individuals and their choices on society, both intellectually and socially, through group projects and collaboration in learning communities.”
