As a result, the group gained the scalability it wanted, while avoiding capital expenses and saving 65 percent of costs compared to an on-premises version. Boeing provides a rich, compelling way for customers to view and understand the plane without needing to actually stand next to one. The tool runs on Windows 7 and Windows Azure. Fujitsu developed a resource forecasting cloud-based application using Windows Azure. It has reduced costs by around 60 percent for development and ongoing maintenance compared to traditional on-premises hosting.
