  7. Decreased Neutrophils – necrosis & deep abscesses: • • Aspergillosis • • Zygomycosis • • Invasive Candida

  8. Host-Dependent T-Cell Involvement: • • Coccidioides • • Histoplasmosis • • Blastomycosis • • Cryptococcus • Normal T-cells  caseating granuloma; few organisms Moderate T-cells  loose granuloma; moderate organisms Immunocompromised/HIV  no granuloma, many organisms
