  2. Journals • Everyone must have one! • Journals stay in the classroom! • All classroom work goes in the journal! • Journals are 20% of your grade!

  3. Timed Readings • Count for 10% of your grade! • Done everyday!

  4. Silent Reading • Everyday for fifteen minutes! • You must bring your book to class everyday! • Counts for 15% of your grade!

  5. Essays • Writing and reading go together! • Each quarter you will write one essay! • Essays count for 20% of your grade! • Final essays will be typed! • A written rough draft must be included! • Essays will be a minimum of five paragraphs!

  6. Book Reports • One due each quarter! • Books must be approved by teacher! • Must be typed according to teacher format! • Reports must be a minimum of five paragraphs long!

  7. Take charge of your own education!!
