Covenant of Salt is found in 3 places in Scriptures In regards to the Offerings of the Children of Israel: Leviticus 2: 13 Every offering of your meal offering you shall season with salt; neither shall you allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your meal offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt. In regards to the Levi’s and Son’s of Aaron: Numbers 18: 19 All the wave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to Yahweh, have I given you, and your sons and your daughters with you, as a portion forever: it is a covenant of salt forever before Yahweh to you and to your seed with you.

In regards to the Davidic Kingdom 2 Chronicles 13: 4 Abijah stood up on Mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, Hear me, Jeroboam and all Israel: 5 Ought you not to know that Yahweh, the God of Israel, gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt? 6 Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, rose up, and rebelled against his lord.

The Typical Table And Cooking Salt In Your Grocery Store Has Been "Chemically Cleaned" What remains after typical salt is "chemically cleaned" is sodium chloride -- an unnatural chemical form of salt that your body recognizes as something completely foreign. This form of salt is in almost every preserved product that you eat. Therefore, when you add more salt to your already salted food, your body receives more salt than it can dispose of. This is important as over 90% of the money that people spend on food is for processed food. Typical table salt crystals are totally isolated from each other. In order for your body to try to metabolize table salt crystals, it must sacrifice tremendous amounts of energy. Inorganic sodium chloride can keep you from an ideal fluid balance and can overburden your elimination systems. When your body tries to isolate the excess salt you typically expose it to, water molecules must surround the sodium chloride to break them up into sodium and chloride ions in order to help your body neutralize them. To accomplish this, water is taken from your cells in order to neutralize the unnatural sodium chloride. This results in a less-than-ideal fluid balance in the cells.

  8. INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT SALT 1. The Bible mentions salt more than 30 times. Salt has a religious significance and symbol of purity. 2. Salt is essential to health. Body cells must have salt in order to live and work. Blood, sweat and tears are salty. 3. Salt is an antiseptic (germ killing) property that make it useful for bathing of infections including being used as a mouth wash. It is also used for cleaning teeth. 4. It is estimated that salt has 14,000 uses. 5. Among people today salt is still used as a sign of honour, friendship and hospitality. A saying is "there is salt between us" meaning "we have eaten together, we are bonded friends". 5. Salt was once so scarce and precious that it was used as money. Caesar's soldiers received part of their pay in common salt. This was known as salarium from which the word salary comes. 6. Dating back to the days when workers were paid their wages in salt is the modern expression "not worth his salt", and it literally means not working good enough to earn his wage. 7. Salt was a chief economic product of the ancient world. It was important in the development of the earliest highways of trade. 8. Roman soldiers built one of the great military roads in History, the Via Salaria (Salt Road), from the salt works at Ostia to Rome.

  9. (Mike Verdiccio, The Covenant of Salt) • "The covenant of salt symbolizes loyalty, honesty, and it represents that which is a lasting or preserved covenant. Some of the Eastern people still use the phrase: “There is salt between us.” In Bible times, they understood that the covenant of salt meant that they would keep their word at all costs" • It is important that we are aware of these things as we immerse our self into the world of Yahweh's people and their spiritual life. And as we shall see in a moment, there are spiritual legalities to be considered too. Occultists are aware of these legalities and use them to ensnare believers. • "The custom of pledging friendship or confirming an agreement or covenant by eating food containing salt is still retained today among some Middle Easterners. The Arabic word for salt and for, an agreement or treaty, is the same word. And so, the most common way of entering into a salt covenant was done by eating food containing salt. • Entering into a covenant of salt was never done lightly or haphazardly. In Bible times, guests would eat their meal while their host stood. If the host ate with his guests, then they would have entered into a salt covenant because the food contained salt" (Ibid).

  10. Sitting with a guest and partaking of a meal containing salt results in a salt covenant. Understanding what that agreement consists of is therefore very important because both the host and guest are binding themselves to a contract. "In the late 1970’s when Prime Minister Begin of Israel met with President Sadat of Egypt, Begin was greeted as he set foot on Egyptian soil. It was reported that the two men stopped to take bread and salt together. "To the Western mind, this may seem like an old fashioned custom, and one might think that it was a nice gesture, but it was much more than just a gesture. In their Eastern minds, they entered into a salt covenant. Sadat was communicating through his action that Begin would be safe while visiting Egypt and that he was willing to guarantee that safety with his own life. "Since ancient times in the Middle East, if you were traveling and needed shelter for the night, you could ask one of the Bedouin for his protection and help by asking if you could partake of salt together. He would ask for all your money and valuables and put them in his pockets. Next, he would feed you and give you a place to sleep. Finally, he would stand guard all night to make sure that no harm came your way. "In the morning, he would feed you once again, give your valuables back to you, and make sure you were safely on your way. He would never even consider taking any payment for his hospitality, because in the East, it is looked upon as an act of service to God" (Ibid).

Covenant In the ancient Middle East and Biblical world, a "covenant" was a solemn, blood-sealed agreement between parties that both establishes and regulates a relationship between them and is made binding by an oath.  The standard Hebrew term, Berith, is translated by the New American Standard Bible in the following ways: "covenant" (275 times), league (2), treaty (4), allied/s (2).  The equally common New Testament term, diatheke, is the Greek term for "last will and testament" (Hebrews 9:16; Galatians 3:15) which was used in the Septuagint to translate berith. It was used in the LXX because it carries the essential idea of declaring one person's will (God's), rather than a negotiated agreement (suntheke).[2]

  14. Treaty Document This is a written, fixed, and preserved copy of covenant legislation.  The details of any important covenant were recorded, because "covenants" in the ancient world were not mystical, secret things without a tangible form.

  17. Modern archaeologists have found the ancient Hittite treaty to be fairly characteristic of ancient treaties (Biblical parallels are in parenthesis). First came the Preamble, which gave the name and titles of the great king who offered the treaty. Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, Yahweh appeared to Abram, and said to him, "I am God Almighty. Walk before me, and be blameless. Exodus 3: 13 Moses said to God, "Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you;' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' What should I tell them?" 14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM," and he said, "You shall tell the children of Israel this: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" 15 God said moreover to Moses, "You shall tell the children of Israel this, 'Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations. 16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and tell them, 'Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, "I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt;

Second, there was often a Historical Prologue listing the past benefits conferred by the sovereign upon the vassal Exodus 19:4 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you to myself. Deuteronomy 8: 1 All the commandment which I command you this day shall you observe to do, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers. 2 You shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not. 3 He humbled you, and allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you didn't know, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh does man live. 4 Your clothing didn't grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.

  20. Fourth, there were Provisions for the preservation and public proclamation of the covenant document - usually in some valuable/durable substance like metal, clay, or stone Written on Stone 10 Sayings kept inside the Ark of the Covenant

Fifth, there was usually a listing of the Witnesses to the covenant ancient treaties often called gods and natural features (mountains, rivers, springs, seas, winds, clouds, and heaven and earth) as witnesses to a covenant.  Deuteronomy 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you go over the Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days on it, but shall utterly be destroyed. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your seed; Deuteronomy 30:19; 31: 19,28) -

Sixth, there were Blessings/Curses tied to the vassal's fulfilling or violation/ abandonment of the covenant (11:26-28; 28; 29:15-20).  Deuteronomy 11: 26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse: 27 the blessing, if you shall listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I command you this day; 28 and the curse, if you shall not listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known. Deuteronomy 28; 29:15-20

  23. Last, there was the Covenant Oath, which was the act of acceptance by which parties contacted “covenant blood” and then the agreement was binding on both parties Genesis 15:8-18 Exodus 24:3-8

  26. Covenant demands obedience to that Oath Who are you? Are you Salted by YHVH’s Covenant or not. Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Yeshua is master, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

  29. What Is Replacement Theology? Replacement Theology was introduced to the Church shortly after Gentile leadership took over from Jewish leadership. What are its premises? Israel (the Jewish people and the land) has been replaced by the Christian Church in the purposes of God, or, more precisely, the Church is the historic continuation of Israel to the exclusion of the former. The Jewish people are now no longer a "chosen people." In fact, they are no different from any other group, such as the English, Spanish, or Africans.

  30. Apart from repentance, the new birth, and incorporation into the Church, the Jewish people have no future, no hope, and no calling in the plan of God. The same is true for every other nation and group. Since Pentecost of Acts 2, the term "Israel," as found in the Bible, now refers to the Church. The promises, covenants and blessings ascribed to Israel in the Bible have been taken away from the Jews and given to the Church, which has superseded them. However, the Jews are subject to the curses found in the Bible, as a result of their rejection of Christ.

This is one of the reasons why adultery carried the death sentence in the Torah and why the Passover is so sacred and why breaking the covenant of the Passover is a death wish: 1 Cor. 11:27-32 "Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Master in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Master's body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep (die). For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Master, that we may not be condemned with the world".

Ezequiel 44: 15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD: 16 They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.
