  2. Land Regions • Highlands in the east, lowlands in the central area, and in the west there are plateaus.

  3. Rivers, Lakes, and Oceans • Coral Sea, Great Australian Bright, Indian Ocean, Tasman Sea, Lake Eyre, Lake Torrens, Lake Gairdner, Lake St. Clair, The Murray River, The Murrumbidgee.

  4. Plant and Animals • Koala Bears, Thorny Devil, Sea Eagles, Xanthorrhoea Pressii, Gravillea “Bronze Rambler”

  5. Forests, Deserts, Mountains & Minerals • Australia has 149.4 million hectares of forests comprising 147.4 million hectares of native forests and 2 million hectares of plantations. This is about 8 hectares of forest for each Australian, one of the highest areas of forest per person in the world. Minerals: Opal, Hematite, Copper.
