  2. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION From the age of 4 years children can enroll in public or private kindergartens. The attendance of the Kindergarten is optional for children 4 years and compulsory for children of 5 years.

  3. COMPULSORY EDUCATION LEVEL Compulsory education is ten years covering ages from 5 to 15 years. There are also Evening High Schools for working students 14 years and over. The School has alternative schools such as Church, the Minority, the cross-cultural, experimental, Music etc. • Non-Compulsory Secondary Education (b ') andAfter - Secondary Education

HIGHER EDUCATION StructureandFunction Since 2001 (Law 2916/2001) provides that higher education has twoparallel sectors: Α)university (Universities / Academic Education., Technical University, Faculty of Fine Arts Greek Open University) and b) the technology (Technology Education / TEI. and the SchoolPedagogical and Technological Education / ASPETE.).
