Avril’s Starting Years • 2 years old sang at church • 10 years old sang a solo at her churches Christmas pageant • 11 years old taught herself to play the guitar her father purchased • High School she started to sing in local fairs and talent shows • 14 years old she won a radio contest • First time performing in front of 20,000 people • 15 years old sang at a bookstore where she found a manager • 16 years old travelled to NYC and worked for Arista Records that gave her a contract for her first album
