A Note From the Teacher ... On Friday, we will be visiting the Orlando Ballet! Students are asked to dress nice. Please make sure that girls are wearing flat shoes. We will be climbing stairs and students will have recess when we return  Thanks!. Mrs. Sprague’s Snapshots.

This week, we have been reading many different informational texts. We are also working on double consonants and ck, common final blends, homophones, and proper nouns.Please make sure that you have your child write in complete sentences, when working at home or completing homework  Math-We have already started Chapter 3 on Basic Facts and Relationships! Students are learning about many different addition strategies that can be used when adding numbers. The addition strategies that we have been learning are learning are doubles/doubles plus one, making a ten, commutative property, and associative property. Social Studies-We have started talking about Where We Live. This week, students will learn about our city, state, country, continent, and world. I <3 a Book Day Projects Each student brought home their project today. Please look over the directions and attached rubric with your child. Each child is required to select a FICTION book to do their project on. Projects are due NO LATER THAN October 30th. Happy Reading!
