General Requirements 29 CFR 1910.132 • PPE must be provided, used, and maintained. • PPE must be adequate. • All PPE must be of safe design and construction. • Employer must assess the workplace to determine hazards. • Damaged or defective equipment must not be used. • Employers must provide training.

  9. Prior to Entering a Confined Space • All personnel have been trained • Proper permit has been issued • Appropriate PPE is in place and utilized • OSHA’s procedures are in effect
