Assignment • Choose two articles to read. • Print out • Read using close reading techniques, etc. • Highlight, look up unknown words (all of them) • Write the definition of the word in the margin of the article • Identify allusions and how they contribute to meaning • Consider the context within which the article was written

  3. Assignment • Create three questions that connect specifically to the text and would be your next step in you search for an issue for your research paper. • Be prepared on the day the articles are due to write a journal about both articles without looking at it to discuss your impression, usefulness, and validity of the information. • Include information about the context, allusions, and new information learned.
