  3. Module Aims • Be aware of current and potential uses: email, WWW, CMC, eCommerce, eLearning… • Learn to navigate the Web effectively and develop your own websites • Develop criteria for evaluating the usefulness of the WWW in a business context

  4. What will I be able to do? • Demonstrate familiarity with email systems • Understand the difference between email and CMC • Describe communications hardware and software • Author web pages with HTML and tools • Understand what makes a usable website • Perform effective Web searches in a business context and evaluate the value of the WWW

  5. Learning approaches • A very practical style • A portfolio of work: • Use of a conferencing system • Critical report (e.g. a comparison of software packages that perform the same tasks) • An examination.
