Implementing HHS Strategic Plan- Council’s Wish List (a sample) • Establish a plan and publicize the process for recruiting…and a plan for retaining diverse groups of students. • Maintaining a tracking system for students… for faculty and staff… • Develop competencies in diversity, global and multicultural skills through curricula for students and development opportunities for faculty and staff… • Focus on the quality of interactive experiences between and among students from different countries and cultures. • Maximize university resources and programs. • Better understand current issues and policies and implications for our responsible areas. • Determine what we try to achieve and how we measure our diversity efforts. • Matching activities with resources.

Implementing HHS Strategic Plan- Committee Wish List ( a sample) • One or more study abroad courses are developed as HHS-branded signatures/that appeal to students from multiple departments/schools. • A global learning fair/forum is held monthly as a continuous venue to educate HHS students and promote featured study abroad. • Parents are engaged to learn about opportunities of study abroad and global learning for their children. • A study abroad course is required for all HHS students to satisfy the requirement of the University Core Curriculum for the foundational outcome of Human Cultures, as well as for the embedded outcomes of Intercultural Knowledge and Effectiveness and Global Citizenship and Social Responsibility. • Each department identifies one or more required courses that are appropriate or can be fitted for study abroad.
