RolesIf you are in a 3, someone will have two roles • Finance Manager – at least one • Responsible for managing the team’s finances using the Transaction Analysis table. • Investment Analyst – at least one • Responsible for tracking the team’s fund using the Portfolio Analysis table. • Media Analyst – at least one • Read the newspapers, listen to the news bulletins and inform rest of team how the information may affect prices. • Floor Trader ONLY ONE PER TEAM • Work between the team’s table and the Trading Area, buying and selling. You will work closely with the Investment Analyst • Responsible for passing on the details of each transaction to the team so that the paperwork can be updated.

  4. How to trade - tips • Buy SHARES at low prices and sell at high prices • Buy DOLLARs at HIGH prices and sell when LOW. • READ the newspapers and listen to the newsflashes – they will help you decide what shares are going up or down

  5. By the end of lesson 1 • Allocate your roles • Run through one day of practice trading • Make sure you know EXACTLY how to keep your records in order • Read your guide and get to know the companies you can buy shares in • Name your company and make a poster to go on the front of your trading table
