    3. CCP Overview Sage MAS 500’s new Credit Card Processing module enables organizations to process credit card payments quickly and easily. With the Credit Card Processing module you can initiate and manage credit card transactions from Sales Order, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management. During sales order entry, customer services personnel can select one or more credit cards per order, apply them as down payments and have run authorizations. The advanced capabilities of Sage MAS 500’s Credit Card Processing solution are evident during shipment processing where MAS 500 can capture funds during the shipment process, reauthorize partial shipments, and even stop shipments for failed credit card transactions. Accounts receivable staff can process credit cards during invoice entry or apply credit card payments during cash receipts. Refunds can also be processed for transactions which were paid by credit card. Credit card information can be stored locally in an encrypted form or outside of Sage MAS 500 via the Sage Payment Solutions Vaulting Service. Secured storage of customer credit card information is ideal for repetitive use and transaction history is accessible on the Customer Status screen as well as in Business Insights Explorer. Robust security provides PCI Compliance including encrypted card storage or vaulting via Sage Payment Solutions. Additional security features such as address verification, card security code and MOD10 validation are provided. Easy reconciliation of credit card transactions and deposits is provided in Cash Management with user-defined deposit groups. All critical customer and credit card information is maintained behind a firewall and tight integration ensures transaction information passes to the credit card processors, merchant accounts and cardholder accounts. Personalize the Tasks Explorer Bar to provide roles-based access to the system. Access My Tasks more easily and personalize by dragging and dropping from the Tasks Explorer Bar. The Inventory Physical Count process has been enhanced with significant workflow and user interface improvements to make the count process more efficient and more accurate. With the old process, sales order tasks had to be run in sequential order requiring that a shipment be committed prior to printing an invoice. The shipment commit process has been enhanced to enable printing a pro-forma invoice before committing a shipment, so a printed invoice can be included in a shipment or given to a customer for a counter sale. Sales order workflow has been streamlined to improve usability.     36. So what is Sage MAS Intelligence? Sage MAS Intelligence provides a simple and easy to use reporting solution that leverages the wealth of Excel knowledge in many organizations. It provides a customizable and flexible reporting and analysis tool for organizations to better manage their business. Sage MAS Intelligence is being delivered as a long-term replacement for FRx and certain Sage MAS Intelligence modules will be provided to existing customers on a support plan at no charge. With Sage MAS Intelligence, Excel reports can be output to a specific file location, published to .HTML, or emails to recipients for critical decision making across your entire organization. By eliminating “loose” Excel spreadsheet use and delivering preformatted and customizable report templates , it ensures a “single version of the truth” across your business.So what is Sage MAS Intelligence? Sage MAS Intelligence delivers predefined financial formulas to calculate variances and percentages and you can create new formulas to meet your specific business needs. The Report Designer allows you to report off of various segments of your chart of accounts and generate column-based and consolidated reports such as a side-by-side consolidation. Once the report is generated, you can drill down to detailed ledger transactions or apply “what if” analysis to see how changes to a set of values impacts the rest of your financial statement. While Sage MAS Intelligence will work with Excel 2003, the Report Designer requires Excel 2007.We’ll start with the Report Designer. The Report Designer allows you to report off of various segments of your chart of accounts and generate column-based and consolidated reports such as a side-by-side consolidation. Once the report is generated, you can drill down to detailed ledger transactions or apply “what if” analysis to see how changes to a set of values impacts the rest of your financial statement.
