  5. So what if we take all those random facts, create a story, then formulate an argument (therefore….) For Example: Let’s argue that the story of the Early United States is a Geographical story.

  6. The Geography of North America led to the economic system of the early United States (1607-1877), thus affecting the politics and culture of early America.

  7. We are arguing that Geography affected EVERYTHING!

  8. Think what would be DIFFERENT about US History IF the Great Plains moved East?

  9. History would be affected How did Geography lead to regional identities and cultural values?? How did Geography lead to systems such as: market, labor, transportation and technology? How did Geography effect the way political and social groups compete for influence?

  10. How do I review for the final Argument Backwards Facts forward What are the Facts SFI I need to know Review/word splash What stories are these facts telling: PEGS? What argument can I make from the story? How does my SFI PROVE my argument? • What is the argument? • Essay topics? • What am I trying to say about history? • What is the story behind the argument? • What is the historical story? • What is the SFI that I need to tell the story? • Why are my facts relevant to the story? Do they PROVE my argumemt? • Do I know the Facts? • Complete the review
