  4. No clothing with writing! Denim should Not be worn! Dress for Success Do Not’s No athletic shoes Or Open-Toe shoes/sandals No Leggings!! No head-gear!

  5. Any of these outfits would Be appropriate For Dress for Success day!

PROFESSIONAL DRESS DAY GUIDELINES Males • Business suit with collared dress shirt and necktie; or • Sport coat, dress slacks, collared dress shirt, and necktie; or • Dress slacks, collared dress shirt, and necktie; or • Dress slacks and collared dress shirt; • Dress shoes and dress socks are required. • A banded collar shirt may be worn only if a sport coat or business suit is worn. • No jewelry in visible body piercing on men.

PROFESSIONAL DRESS DAY GUIDELINES Females • Business suit; or • Coordinated business pantsuit; or • dress pants and blouse or sweater; or • Business dress; or • Skirt with blouse or sweater. • Closed business dress shoes are required. • Nylons are required. Trouser/dress socks are acceptable with the coordinated business pantsuit. • No jewelry in visible body piercing, other than ears, on women.

PROFESSIONAL DRESS DAY GUIDELINES UNACCEPTABLE ATTIRE INCLUDES: • Denim, chambray, or flannel fabric clothing of any kind • Capris, gauchos, overalls, shorts, skorts, stretch or stirrup pants, exercise or bike shorts, leggings worn under dresses, blouses, or sweaters • Low-cut, backless, see-through, tight-fitting, spaghetti straps, or strapless blouses/tops/dresses • Extremely short, tight-fitting, or see-through dresses/skirts • Sandals, athletic shoes, industrial work shoes, hiking boots, over-the-knee boots, or bare feet • Athletic wear, including sneakers and letterman jackets • Hats • Bolo ties • Visible foundation garments Students who wear attire deemed unacceptable will receive a zero for participation and a referral for being out of dress code!

  9. Remember that this is a PROFESSIONAL DRESS day. While some clothing may be acceptable for going out to eat, shopping, or playing sports, it is not acceptable for Professional Dress. New fashion trends may be in style but not necessarily appropriate. The best way to operate is to avoid walking the line. If there is a doubt, select something else to wear. Be a professional!
